DETAILED ITINERARY:      
       
Day 1 – Mpumalanga Province - Kruger National Park Border   Start of tour - Johannesburg/Pretoria

You will be met at the Johannesburg International Airport by a Southern Eagle Tours representative who will hand you all your travel documentation which includes accommodation vouchers, car rental vouchers, air tickets and detailed maps. A detailed route description will be done and you will be assisted in collecting your rental vehicle. You depart from Johannesburg, traveling east to the Mpumalanga Province and visit the many attractions along the “Panorama Route”, including God’s Window, the Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels and the historic gold mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest. In the late afternoon you descend the eastern escarpment and travel through the warm “lowveld” to the charming town of Hazyview, just minutes away from the world famous Kruger National Park. You overnight at a beautiful country lodge, a short distance outside the town.

Day 2 – Mpumalanga/Limpopo Province - Kruger National Park    

Today's route:
After an early breakfast at the lodge you travel the short distance to the nearest entrance gate to the Kruger National Park. Once inside the Park, excitement will mount as you start seeing some of the numerous animals that inhabit this magnificent wildlife sanctuary. You spend most of the day travelling inside the Kruger Park arriving at your “restcamp” in the late afternoon. Accommodation tonight is in comfortable en-suite bungalows or cottages, and dinner can be enjoyed in the camp restaurant.

What is a restcamp?
The word "restcamp" is a bit deceiving as it has nothing to do with "camping".  The accommodation used in the Kruger National Park are brick or stone cottages or bungalows, usually with a thatched roof.  These bungalows or cottages all have private en-suite facilities (WC, shower and wash basin) and air-conditioning.		      
       
Day 3 – Mpumalanga/Limpopo Province – Private Game Reserve    

Today's route:
The route continues to a private game reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park.

We make use of a number of smaller and more intimate game lodges in one of the private game reserves that lie directly west of the Kruger National Park. The specific game lodge used will depend on availability, but should be one of the following:JACKALBERRY GAME LODGE, CHAPUNGU LUXURY TENTED CAMP, ROYAL LEGEND SAFARI LODGE, KAMBAKU SAFARI LODGE, NKORHO BUSH LODGE, KAPAMA RIVER LODGE, KAPAMA BUFFALO CAMP OR SIMBAVATI RIVER LODGE      
       
Day 4 - Mpumalanga/Limpopo Province – Private Game Reserve      

A full day is spent at the private game lodge.
