You will be met at the Cape Town International Airport (or any other location in Cape Town) by a Southern Eagle Tours representative who will hand you all your travel documentation which includes accommodation vouchers, car rental vouchers and detailed maps. A detailed route description will be done and you will be assisted in collecting your rental vehicle.

Today's route:
The scenic coastal route past the villages of Pringle Bay and Kleinmond to the famous whale watching town of Hermanus.

Today's route:
Via the southernmost point of Africa at Cape Agulhas, then inland to Swellendam, Mosselbay and finally the coastal village of Knysna.

• Late afternoon boat cruise on the Knysna Lagoon

Today's route:
The day starts with a steam train trip, and then the route goes over the Outeniqua Mountains to Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world.

• A steam train trip on one of the most scenic rail routes in the world (seasonal)
• Tour of a working Ostrich farm and the opportunity to ride an Ostrich
• The world famous Cango Caves or alternatively a tour of a Cheetah breeding centre and the opportunity to touch a real Cheetah

• Outeniqua Mountain pass

Today's route:
Along the Indian Ocean coastline, past the holiday town of Plettenberg Bay, through Tsitsikamma forest to Port Elizabeth where it turns inland to the Addo Elephant Park

• The view from the Paul Sauer Bridge over the Storms River
• An exhilarating open vehicle night drive into the Addo Elephant Park

A full day to explore this magnificent reserve. Since the re-introduction of lion in September 2003 Addo has become one of South Africa's "Big Five" reserves.

Today’s route:
From the Addo Elephant National Park to Graaff-Reinet.

Today’s route:
North through the wide expanses of the arid Great Karoo landscape, past the Gariep dam and hydroelectric scheme, the biggest of its kind in South Africa, to Bloemfontein, the provincial capital.

Today's route:
Most of today’s route will lie at almost 2000 meters above sea level traveling past the Golden Gate Highlands National Park and the impressive Sterkfontein Dam, to the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains.

• Golden Gate National Park with its towering sandstone formations
• Sterkfontein Dam

A full day to relax in the splendour of the Drakensberg Mountains.

Time to say farewell as the route takes you over the Oliviers Hoek Pass and past the Sterkfontein Dam back to the Johannesburg Airport where your vehicle is handed in for the end of the tour.
