Welcome to South Africa, country of gold, diamonds, wild animals, unspoilt natural beauty and a larger cultural variety than in almost any other country in the world.
You will be met at the Johannesburg International Airport by a Southern Eagle Tours representative who will hand you all your travel documentation which includes accommodation vouchers, car rental vouchers and detailed maps. A detailed route description will be done with you and you will be assisted in collecting your rental vehicle, before travelling to your accommodation just outside Pretoria, the historic capital of South Africa. The rest of the day is free to relax in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel. |

What is a restcamp?
The word "restcamp" is a bit deceiving as it has nothing to do with "camping". The accommodation used in the Kruger National Park are brick or stone cottages or bungalows, usually with a thatched roof. These bungalows or cottages all have private en-suite facilities (WC, shower and wash basin) and air-conditioning. |

After an early morning open-vehicle game drive and breakfast you travel via the Drakensberg Escarpment, past numerous indigenous villages, commercial forests, tropical fruit and citrus plantations to the historic town of Pilgrim’s Rest.
