SAFARI HIGHLIGHTS:
Kruger National Park Safari
Early morning and late afternoon open vehicle game drives in the Kruger National Park
DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1 – Mpumalanga/Limpopo Province - Kruger National Park
An early departure from Johannesburg/Pretoria as we travel east via the scenic Mpumalanga Province, reaching the world famous Kruger National Park around mid-day. Once inside the Park, excitement will mount as we start spotting some of the numerous animals that inhabit this magnificent wildlife sanctuary. We travel some distance inside the Kruger Park, arriving at our “restcamp” in the late afternoon for a well earned break before enjoying dinner in the camp restaurant. Accommodation tonight is in comfortable air-conditioned en-suite bungalows or cottages.
Accommodation: Skukuza, Lower Sabie or Pretoriuskop Restcamp Dinner, bed and breakfast basis
What is a restcamp? The word "restcamp" is a bit deceiving as it has nothing to do with "camping". The accommodation used in the Kruger National Park are brick or stone cottages or bungalows, usually with a thatched roof. These bungalows or cottages all have private en-suite facilities (WC, shower and wash basin) and air-conditioning.
Day 2 – Mpumalanga/Limpopo Province - Kruger National Park
The day begins with an early morning “open vehicle” game drive, looking for Africa’s “Big Five” - Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard, followed by breakfast in the camp restaurant. During the rest of day your tour guide and vehicle are at all times available for game-viewing drives along the excellent network of well-maintained roads that exist inside the Kruger Park. We prefer to spend the second night at a different restcamp, providing you with the opportunity to observe the ever-changing habitat while travelling inside the Park. A final highlight today is a night safari in an open game-viewing vehicle in search of the nocturnal inhabitants of the African bush.
Accommodation: Olifants, Satara, Skukuza, Lower Sabie or Letaba Restcamp Dinner, bed and breakfast basis
Day 3 - End of safari
After breakfast and a final game drive, we exit the Park and travel back to Johannesburg / Pretoria. Drop off is at a hotel or guesthouse of your choice, or the Johannesburg International Airport.
