Day 1 – Mpumalanga Province - Kruger National Park Border |
Start of tour - Johannesburg/Pretoria |
An early departure from Johannesburg/Pretoria as we travel east towards the Mpumalanga Province and visit the many attractions along the “Panorama Route”, including God’s Window, the Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels and the historic gold mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest. In the late afternoon we descend the eastern escarpment and travel through the warm “lowveld” to a beautiful country lodge, just a short distance from the Kruger Park. |

Day 2 – Mpumalanga/Limpopo Province - Kruger National Park |
After an early breakfast at the lodge we travel the short distance to the nearest entrance gate to the Kruger National Park. Once inside the Park, excitement will mount as we start seeing some of the numerous animals that inhabit this magnificent wildlife sanctuary. We spend most of the day travelling north inside the Kruger Park arriving at our “restcamp” in the late afternoon. There is time for a short break before joining an exciting “open vehicle” game drive, looking for Africa’s “Big Five” - Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard.
Accommodation tonight is in comfortable en-suite bungalows or cottages, and dinner is enjoyed in the camp restaurant. |

What is a restcamp?
The word "restcamp" is a bit deceiving as it has nothing to do with "camping". The accommodation used in the Kruger National Park are brick or stone cottages or bungalows, usually with a thatched roof. These bungalows or cottages all have private en-suite facilities (WC, shower and wash basin) and air-conditioning. |

Day 3 – Mpumalanga/Limpopo Province - Private Game Reserve |
After breakfast we exit the Kruger Park and travel to an exclusive lodge in a nearby private game reserve. Later this afternoon an exhilarating game drive in specially adapted open 4X4 vehicles is undertaken. At dusk sundowners are enjoyed deep in the bush, after which the drive continues, making use of spotlights to search for nocturnal animals. A final highlight is a specially prepared dinner enjoyed under the stars around the campfire. (weather permitting) |

Two full days at leisure to enjoy all the attractions the Sun City Complex has to offer.
Sun City is internationally renowned as South Africa 's premier holiday resort offering a multitude of attractions and activities to keep everyone occupied. With its combination of golf, game-viewing and gambling, as well as world class hotels, Sun City is the perfect choice for a holiday in South Africa.
A variety of sports and activities may be enjoyed at Sun City. Year round good weather in this part of South Africa, ensures that tennis, squash, swimming, golf, mountain biking, horse riding, and parasailing are all on offer throughout the year.
Guests at Sun City can also enjoy optional day trips to the nearby Pilanesberg National Park. The Pilanesberg National Park is one of South Africa's largest national parks, covering an area of 55 000ha. The Pilanesberg area is in fact the crater of a long extinct and eroded volcano, thought to have been formed 1 200 million years ago. Spectacular landscapes are a feature of this area: four rings of hills encircle the reserve and a large central lake is a hotspot for game activity. With an incredible diversity of game you're almost certain to spot at least one member of the Big Five during a drive. |
