Around the campfire at night beneath the stars, listening to the calls of the wild... in the heart of game country. We camp in secluded, exclusive bush camps within the Moremi Wildlife Reserve and Chobe National Park.

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1 – Maun – Bush Camp
You are welcomed at Maun airport by your guide, taken to a local restaurant for a light lunch (if your flight comes in at 11:50) You will be transferred to the camp near Maun. The first evening in the African bush is spent relaxing around the campfire under the bright stars of the southern hemisphere.

Days 2, 3 – Okavango area of Moremi
The channels and waterways of the Okavango Delta are explored on a mokoro excursion with lunch enjoyed on an island. We make our way back to our camp during an afternoon game drive, taking in the changing colours of an African sunset.

Days 4, 5 – Khwai area of Moremi
After breakfast, we move our camp to the Khwai flood plains, and continue to explore the ever-changing scenery of the reserve. Enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives and uncover the secrets of this pristine wilderness area in search of the many species of animal and birdlife that make Moremi their home.

Days 6, 7, 8 – Savute & Chobe National Park
Continuing overland through the National Parks we visit the dry Savute Marsh and Savute channel, famous for its abundance of large predators. This amazing area and its waterholes are explored during our early morning and late afternoon game drives. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets, with the largest elephant population in Africa living in the region. We may witness huge herds during our game drives and an unforgettable game viewing cruise on the Chobe River.

Day 9 – Livingstone/Victoria Falls
Our safari culminates at Livingstone / Victoria Falls - without doubt one of the greatest and most unforgettable spectacles in Africa. Time at leisure to enjoy the many optional activities on offer including scenic flights, micro lighting, elephant back riding etc. and a visit to the Falls (own expense). One night hotel accommodation on bed and breakfast basis.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON A STANDARD MOBILE SAFARI

If you are looking to experience the real wilderness of Botswana or – to feel the thrill of being “at one with nature” – lying snug in your sleeping bag, gazing up through the window of your spacious dome tent at the galaxy of stars above – the camaraderie of the flickering campfire at night – delicious and wholesome hot dinners prepared by the chef on the open campfire, served on a candlelit table – and all the fun and unique experiences that only a camping safari can offer – BUT without the work! Then this concept is perfect for you. Let the guide and assistant/ cook take care of erecting and dismantling the tents as well as the cooking and camp chores. Come, relax and enjoy your holiday with us...

Tents and Equipment:

2 person spacious, comfortable dome tents (L2.75m x W2.75m xH1.90m) with built-in ground sheet and 2 large aerating windows with mosquito netting.
Safari folding chair.
Camp bed with 6cm high-density foam mattress, sleeping bag &small pillow.
Toilet tent with seated toilet (Botswana).
Shower tent with warm bucket shower (Botswana).
A large marquee tent (5m x 5m) is used for shade.

Food and Drinks:

3 wholesome meals each day with dinner served ‘Al fresco’ under the stars – bush cuisine at its best!
Tea and coffee available in camp. Alcoholic beverages not included and may be purchased at the start of the safari.

Vehicles:

Botswana – open sided 4x4 Toyota land cruiser ideal for game viewing.
Fridges and battery charging facilities on all vehicles.

Staff:

Guide, chef, and camp assistant.
