Introduction
The Singita Private Game Reserve scored the first-ever flawless score of 100 in the 2001 Condé Nast Readers' Choice poll. For 2002, Singita once again finished on top of the poll for African Resorts and received the highest score overall with a 96. Singita shares the World No 1. position this year as The Best of the Best 2002 with the French luxury hotel, Boyer Les Crayères in Reims.

The Condé Nast award was Singita's third major international achievement last year. In September 2002, the highly regarded connoisseur's international travel guide, Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report, rated Singita as World No. 1 in the category International Resort Hideaway with less than 50 rooms. Singita also took top honors in the annual travel awards listing, rated by Forbes Magazines as the definitive international travel survey. This achievement followed shortly after the prestigious Relais & Chateaux group awarded Singita their highest accolade, the Purple Shield, as a property featuring the highest level of service, amenities and furnishings. Only a small select group of properties have been awarded the Purple Shield around the world and Singita is only the third property in Africa and the Indian Ocean region to be honored in this way.

Facilities
Singita Boulders Lodge is set at the base of a dolerite rise, and has nine double suites of glass and baluwood. Each suite has a lounge area, en-suite bathroom with shower, outdoor shower and a private outdoor deck with flow pool. Dinner is served by the light of oil lamps on the moonlit deck or in the library, surrounded by a fine collection of antique and modern books on Africa.

Contemporary and airy, the Lodge at Boulders is inspired by the rough natural geometry of the rocks among which it is built. Overlooking the expanse of the Sand River and the plains beyond, Boulders is furnished in simple luxury, using the natural materials which Africa provides in abundance.

Your suite at Boulders will provide you with a deep, relaxing calm and a silence that will strip away the distractions of the world, and leave you with a peace that will be yours long after you have left the bush. Each suite has been designed as a modern African classic - uncluttered, sparing in detail, yet using the luxurious fabrics and finishes the continent provides. Light and spacious, completely private yet open to the view, each suite at Boulders presents a unique and contemporary view of luxurious African living.

Luxury Spa & Health Center
Singita's luxury spa offers a range of quality professional treatments, from a full body massage on the deck of your suite to acupuncture & chiropractic with highly experienced practitioners. The health spa facility at Boulders Lodge offers facials, a range of beauty treatments and massages combining the ancient arts of Oriental acupressure, Ayurveda and traditional European massage.

Guests to the lodge, and its sister establishment, Ebony Lodge, can enjoy the option of either using the spa directly or having therapists visit their suites for private beauty treatments on the pool deck.

In the fully equipped health center, you may keep up your fitness regime with the assistance of the lodge's personal trainer or the more adventurous athlete might go for a guarded jog through the bush. A steam room is also available.

Activities
Your time at Singita is your own. While the lodge offers game drives and walks, and the finest big five game viewing in Southern Africa, Singita is distinguished by the wide range of activities its guests are free to enjoy at the lodges. Clay pigeon shooting is available on request, or guests may try some seasonal fishing in the rivers. You may ask your ranger to requisition a private Land Rover, or you may choose to join one of the daily drives or group walks. Bush breakfasts and sunset cocktails may be arranged for you in some of the most scenic spots in the reserve, or you may dine on the privacy of your deck.

Location
Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve is an unspoilt part of Africa ecologically and geographically integrated with the adjacent Kruger National Park. It is situated within one of South Africa's oldest and largest proclaimed reserves - the renowned Sabi Sand Game Reserve.

Sabi Sabi lies 500 km east of Johannesburg, 800 km north east of Durban and 200 km west of Maputo in Mozambique. It lies on the same latitude as Sao Paulo and Brisbane and the same longitude as Cairo, Istanbul and St.Petersburg.
