Kirkman’s Kamp, with its spectacular views of the unspoilt wilderness and the Sand River, is regarded as one of the best loved lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. A well known historic camp, originally built in the early 1920’s Kirkmans Kamp celebrates the atmosphere of an early South African lowveld homestead.

camp, originally built in the early 1920’s. The colonial
atmosphere of gracious style and luxury has been retained,
and guests step back in time upon entering the original
homestead. Each of the 18 air conditioned cottages has a
private veranda and ensuite bathroom with separate showers
and free-standing baths.
Kirkman’s Kamp features a large sitting room, with a 1920’s
ambience, overlooking rolling lawns. Breakfast and lunch are
served on shady verandas, and dinners are shared in the
dramatic boma or in romantic candlelit bush settings. Cool off
in the sparkling pool or browse in the Safari Shop.
Activities
Experienced rangers and trackers will lead you on morning and afternoon/evening game-drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles. The Sabi Sand Game Reserve and Kruger National Park are of the finest Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) game destinations in Africa and you have an excellent chance of spotting the elusive leopard.
Explore the Sabi Sand Game Reserve on interpretive wilderness walks led by experienced rangers or expert Shangaan trackers, and learn more about the area’s intriguing fauna and flora. Guided bush walks bring you face-to-face with wild Africa at its best. Regretfully, children 16 years and younger cannot participate in bush walks.

Location
Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve is an unspoilt part of Africa ecologically and geographically integrated with the adjacent Kruger National Park. It is situated within one of South Africa's oldest and largest proclaimed reserves - the renowned Sabi Sand Game Reserve.
Sabi Sabi lies 500 km east of Johannesburg, 800 km north east of Durban and 200 km west of Maputo in Mozambique. It lies on the same latitude as Sao Paulo and Brisbane and the same longitude as Cairo, Istanbul and St.Petersburg.
